I dont know! So stop asking!
3 and a half years into being parents my wife and I are still answering the same question from essentially the same people! "When you having another one?" For the LOVE OF GOD!!!! Please stop asking us this question! We don't know!!! Can't we just enjoy what we have now and not always be thinking about having another one!! YEESH! To be honest, and we tell people this, we are not sure if we are going to have another one. We are happy the way things are now and just enjoying ourselves with our little girl. She is definately a handful all on her own. Plus the cost of daycare is just crazy. Having two in daycare at the same time would be pushing it. I just wish people would stop asking...they ask all the time!!!! YEESH! Ok, i'm done.

I was actually afraid of this when we had our daughter, but the "good" (it's not really good, but in this case, it is) thing about my fiance being out of work and money being so tight is that people don't ask us because they know we are in a very tough financial situation.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar, but she said it perfectly: when you are dating someone, people always ask when you're getting engaged; when yout get engaged, people always ask when you're getting married; when you get married, people always ask when you're having a baby; and then you have a baby, and people always ask when you're having the next one. It seems like a lot of people can't just enjoy the present. Why are people always rushing into the future? And by the way, it's YOUR choice if you want to have another baby or not. I've known people who have unfortunately had difficulty conceiving, or even have gone through miscarriages, which must be heartbreaking-so that's even more of a reason why people shouldn't ask about any more children. Nobody knows what a couple wants or what they might be going through.
When will people ever mind their own business?? :)
Then, if you have one more, you will get everyone asking "so are you finished now?" I am pregnant with my third and you would think I just got beamed down from outer space. People say I'm crazy and insist that my husband and I must be done. (We are, but I don't understand why people think it's so nuts to have 3 kids!)
ReplyDeletejust ask them, "why do you want to know?" That usually shuts them up.
ReplyDeleteTell them you got it right on the first try, no need for more! Why mess with perfection! ;)
