What should we do???
October 22nd will be my 7th wedding anniversary! Turns out it's a Saturday! So my wife and I want to do well...something. We are gonna have Hailey stay at grandma's that night and try to find, well something to do. See the thing is, my wife and I are the two most sinfully boring people on earth. We will probably go out to dinner, not afger that we don't know what to do. Both of us jokingly mentioned walking around Target! And well...that is kinda what we do for fun on the weekends! Pathetic isn't it? That is what is fun to us! We are not movie people, so other than going to the movies do you any suggestions on what we could do? Yes I feel pathetic asking this question, but other than taking care of Hailey we havent really done much of anything for ourselves the past 4 years or so! And add to it that we are two very low key boring people! We might just end up at Target on our anniversary!

My fiancee and I treat ourselves to a yearly anniversary trip. This year, it was to Rehoboth Beach in Delaware. It was too cold, being February, to do more than walk the beach, but we had a great time shopping, both in the historical town as well as at the nearby outlets. We also ate quite well at the neat little restaurants in town (the Henlopen City Oyster House "new england lobster roll" was fantastic, and we also quite enjoyed dinner at Dos Locos and the Pig and Fish.)
ReplyDeleteWe had stayed at the Brighton Suites.
Also, we've done single overnight trips to Lancaster for birthdays - great eats and shopping again, even if you come home with nothing but great memories. Plus, if you go Saturday, there's a LOT of Amish attractions in the area, food and otherwise.
Lastly, if either of you are into history, especially that of our country, Washington DC is always hard to beat. Most of the National museums are free and everything's within walking distance if you get a hotel downtown.
There are many wineries in the area that offer tours and wine tasting. Valenzano in Shamong has tours throughout October. New Hope is always a good choice on a nice day.
